Tom Gazda
milkcrate salvage I'm not a fan of the term "maker" for some reason - maybe I should just say I'm a guy who makes stuff. Some of that stuff is shown below. I've always loved the patina of old lumber - the deep browns of the wood's oxidation, the lathe lines, the nail holes, the marks from years of existence. I love it man - I could look at it all day. It's crazy that wood with so much natural beauty and interesting battle scars just gets thrown out in the trash. Well, I pull it out of dumpsters and make stuff out of it. |
The frames below are hand made by Tom Gazda. All wood is salvaged out of dumpsters in Albany NY by me. The glass is salvaged from old storms windows and yard sale picture frames.
While I didn't build the screenprinting frame s below I did make painted glass whiteboards out of them. The glass is salvaged from old triple track storm windows. The backing cardboard is salvaged from my neighborhoods recycling night.

OK, nothing old or salvaged below. T-shirts designed and printed by me. Currently for sale on Etsy. Link to my Etsy Store.
